  • Meet the Writer

Juliette Cheatham is a seventh-generation South Carolinian, deeply proud of the place that shaped her and equally committed to helping it thrive by embracing change and diversity. After living in Los Angeles and Atlanta and representing some of the nation’s largest agricultural and CPG brands in the communications space, she returned home eager to champion South Carolina’s dynamic local food and drink scene and help cultivate a stronger sense of community for all with Off The Grid Greenville.

Jackie Shapiro Brooker is the founder of Off The Grid Greenville, a nonprofit storytelling project that highlights the under-the-radar people, places, and global flavors that make Greenville unique. She’s spent years eating her way through the Upstate for Off The Grid’s A–Z International Dining Guide, so she takes her maps — and her meals — very seriously.
